Her eyes lit up with a smile, and you can see a hint of wonder in them. She looks at the cake with amazement. She wants to explore, and her tiny fists get ready to do the honor. Smash goes the fist, and her hands are smeared in cream. She happily licks her fingers with a smile of satisfaction. Well, that's how we dream of photographing the perfect cake smash :)
Sidiaz Photography is Seoul Photographer for family and kids photography. I get plenty of photoshoot related to kids, and cake smash is one of these. This is the latest trend in celebrating kids' birthdays. Smashing cakes is messy, but when infants do it, we drool over them. Cake smash shoots have become popular with young parents who want to chronicle the way kids react when they see a cake for the first time.
Usually, the parents book a cake smash shoot a month or a few weeks before the first birthday of their munchkins and use the photos to create invitation cards or as a birthday decoration theme. Whatever be the case, shooting a cake smashing session is both fun and challenging. We love to see the kids' reactions, some of them get super excited and plunge into the cake, while some show suspicion and cautiously approach it. Behind the camera, I wait for that moment when the eyes sparkle with amazement, a smile breaks out, and the kids taste a cake for the first time. It's a tough job, as you can imagine, capturing all the myriad expressions without disturbing the sweeties as they are busy in their discovery.

We also did some pre-cake smash photos in the clothes she came to the studio. She happily sat down and got herself adjusted as Mom and Dad were there, right in front of her ^^
