Bukchon Hanok Village Travel Photoshoot

Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, that were built during the Joseon dynasty, 600 years ago. This traditional village is surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and Jongmyo Shrine. You can enjoy a walk in this village and feel a sense of Korean culture.

As Bukchon Hanok Village is an actual neighborhood with people's homes, visitors are advised to be respectful and quiet during their visit.

Here is important information before you visit Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을)

Address: 37, Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

서울특별시 종로구 계동길 37 (계동)

Closed on Sundays

After a walk down this Bukchon hanok village, we arrived near the Gyeongbokgung Palace and rented a Korean traditional dress called hanbok. See the "Gyeongbokgung Palace" and "Seoul Museum of Art" photos in hanbok :)

Please remember that Bukchon Hanok Village is closed on Sundays and Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays.

If you are wearing a hanbok, there is no entrance fee (ticket: 3,000 KRW) at the palace. For hanbok rentals, you can visit any shop nearby the palace and get yourself dressed up. The shop lady would also help you with the hair, accessories, purse, shoes, hair pins, etc.

Here are some average costs for renting a hanbok:

Hanbok Rental: 15,000 KRW to 35,000 KRW (2 hours)

Purse: 5,000 KRW

Hair accessories: 4,000 KRW

I will also help you with the hanbok rental and directions to the palace before your photoshoot, so don't worry about it :)
