Valentine’s Day business marketing is so huge that every other corner shop is displaying beautiful roses and chocolates for us to buy for our loved ones. From Jewllery to expensive clothing and makeup brands, they try to sell everything in the name of Love. Every year it seems like there’s more pressure to buy more and spend more – like the amount of money you spend on Valentine’s Day gifts is directly linked to the amount you love your partner! Crazy!

But, there are so many other things you can do together and share your love in a creative way than just buying gifts. 1. Play treasure hunt!

If you are game lovers and fun seeker couple, this is for you. This one can be loads of fun! Create a list of things that the other person has to find that day. But – the trick is, you have to get creative and hide the clues which lead to another location. If your partner knows you well, he will understand your keyword and clues. You could put down something like a heart shaped chocolate with handmade cards. Just an idea! 😍

2. Cook new dish together

If cooking is your JAM and you enjoy it, then try making something new following a recipe from youTube. You and your partner can make one dish each and gets live reaction from the other. Record the reactions and enjoy the moment! You will never forget this day !!

3. Take a painting class together

Do you enjoy spreading love on a canvas and making beautiful lovely scenery together that you will be so proud of it to hang in your home? Go for it and take a painting class together. There are many classes being offered in Itaewon.

4. Write letters of Love There is nothing cute more than expressing your love in a hand written valentines day card. Sit down on a coffee table and write a letter to each other. You can choose when you can open them too – perhaps straight away or maybe a year from now.

5. Record a fun movie

In this digital world, writing is a thing of past and gets boring (just saying)!! Why not record a little movie together each Valentine’s Day and in 10 years time you’ll have this amazing video that documents your life together for over a decade!! How sweet is it!!

6. Get yourself a professional photoshoot

How about having a romantic, lovely, and fun-filled photoshoot experience this valentines day, so you can cherish this moment forever! These memories that your heart 💖 will hold on to longer!  Find yourself a great photographer who can make your Vday a memorable one!

7. Make decisions of the day for your partner

Okay, this is interesting.. You can take the day off and let your partner choose everything for you. From what you’ll have for breakfast and what you’ll wear for the day through what you will be having for dinner. It can be lots of fun to see what your partner decides for you! 😍

8. Create a time capsule of Memories

What are somethings that represent your relationship right now?

Write it all and seal them up in a box. You can also include some printed photos, love letters and favorite chocolates in the box too.

Then, set a date for when you can open them and you’ll have all of these memories to look back on and laugh about..😍

9. Go for a walk in Hongdae

How about roaming all around in Hongdae as a lovely couple, eating ice-cream in this cold weather? You may have coffee instead. I would prefer to have an ice-cream!

10. Stay in bed ^^

Staying in bed seems fun and cozy? So, spend one day dedicated to bed – where you put on a great movie, enjoy popcorn, and just laze your way through the day together.
